From the point of view of the employer, they may approach these sites with a great deal of caution. They are looking for a particular type of individual must possess a certain set of skills, and educational level. However, they do not want to be overwhelmed by applications from persons who do not meet those standards. In many cases employers or hiring managers may use a screening process to help weed out those candidates without the required basic skills.

Though employers are anxious to spread the word out there, they are also usually going to focus their efforts. They are usually looking for websites that have listings in their area or types of jobs that are applicable to them. Employers however rarely all congregate at a single website to post jobs in a particular field or location they may be spread out.
The exact job website a job seeker chooses may not be the one close friends recommended. It could be just the one that works with the listings they are searching for. Online it is all about what works for the individual and not what others say.
